Job Description:

Mountain West Services (MWS) specializes in unbiased third party inspections of pressure equipment in the Oil & Gas industry. Our intention is to help clients maintain compliance with pressure equipment regulations and to ensure equipment remains safe to operate.

MWS is authorized by ABSA to perform integrity assessments of pressure equipment, and we are one of the most mature companies completing this work in the province of Alberta. We take pride in our established programs, attention to detail, and our reputation.

We are looking for a detail oriented, practical, and motivated individual to represent MWS as a Shop/Field Inspector, mainly in Central Alberta. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, good computer skills, a working knowledge of pressure equipment and pressure piping integrity management, and a reasonable amount of relevant experience. Ideal candidate will have a QC background and working knowledge of the ASME and B31.3 Codes.

The Shop/Field Inspector will be responsible for a variety of inspection tasks including internal visual inspections, external visual inspections, report writing, turnaround support, developing repair recommendations, supervising repairs, review of QC packages, witnessing hydro-tests, complete shop inspections as required, and a variety of other tasks.

Travel throughout Western Canada may be required; however the majority of work will be located within Central Alberta.
